  REACH IT Online Application  


Step 1: Complete the online application.

  • Completing this online application will take about 15 minutes, and you must complete the entire application at one time.
  • You will need a current resume to upload.
  • Please make note of your user ID and password that is provided upon completion of the application.
  • Completing the online application is neither a guarantee for admission into the program nor a guarantee of job placement upon training completion.

Step 2: If mimimum eligibility requirements are met, applicants will receive an online computer skills assessment.

Step 3: Applicants who pass the assessment will be required to attend a group selection event at the CPCC Levine Campus.

Step 4: Individuals accepted into the program will be scheduled to meet with a REACH IT team member to register for their classes and begin career management services.

Note: Tuition fees for the training are covered by scholarships.

Through the REACH IT initiative, unemployed and underemployed Charlotte-area mid-level professionals can apply for training scholarships in the field of Information Technology (IT).

To be eligible for the REACH IT program, applicants must:

  • be unemployed or underemployed (definition of underemployed: has not found a job that provides comparable responsibility and pay to previous position or is working part-time when full-time employment is desired);
  • be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship;
  • have a minimum of a two-year college/technical degree;
  • have a minimum of three years of work experience (five years is required for some programs);
  • possess basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and navigating the Internet;
  • reside in the sixteen-county Charlotte region;
  • have no outstanding balance at CPCC.

Please note:

  1. REACH IT is a competitive scholarship. All information gathered during the application process will be used to determine participant eligibility. This includes, but is not limited to, online applications; skill assessments and interviews; communications, electronic or otherwise; and interactions with CPCC staff during on and off-campus events;
  2. Additional eligibility requirements may apply to a specific program area or training track. Please review course descriptions for detailed information. Descriptions can be reviewed by clicking on each scholarship class. (
  3. Only one REACH IT scholarship can be awarded to any individual.
