Instructions

Step 1: Complete the online application.

  • Completing this online application will take about 15 minutes, and you must complete the entire application at one time.
  • You will need a current resume to upload.
  • Please make note of your user ID and password that is provided upon completion of the application.

Step 2: Individuals accepted into the program will be scheduled to meet with a REACH IT team member to register for their classes and begin career transition services.

Note: Tuition fees for the training are covered by scholarships.

OVERVIEW

Through the REACH IT initiative, unemployed and underemployed Charlotte-area mid-level professionals can apply for training scholarships in the field of Information Technology (IT).

Applications for the following scholarships will be accepted from November 3, 2014 - December 1, 2014.

  • CompTIA Healthcare IT Tech
  • CompTIA Nework+
  • CompTIASecurity+
  • Microsoft Sharepoint Specialist
  • SAP Basic Skills
  • System Security Certified Professional
  • Excel Data Analyst
  • C# Basic Programmer
  • SQL Data Analyst
  • MS Basic Web App Developer
  • IT Support Technician

Applications for the following scholarships will be accepted beginning January 6, 2015.

  • Tier 1 Help Desk
  • Front End Jr Developer
  • IT Project Management

To be eligible for the REACH IT program, applicants must:

  • be unemployed or underemployed (definition of underemployed: has not found a job that provides comparable responsibility and pay to previous position or is working part-time when full-time employment is desired);
  • be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship;
  • have a minimum of a two-year college/technical degree;
  • have a minimum of five years of work experience;
  • possess basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and navigating the Internet;
  • reside in the sixteen-county Charlotte region;
  • have no outstanding balance at CPCC.

Please note:

  2. Only one REACH IT scholarship can be awarded to any individual.
